I've been looking for something like this for a while-- I gave it to my Mom for Mother's Day and she absolutely loves it. Not only does it look nice, but it holds a lot of bangles in a way that is easy to see and access; taking bangles on and off the rods is really simple. It's solid so there is no fear of things falling off or breaking. A really useful gift (especially for South Asian women who may happen to have a lot of different types of bangles) and I'm about to get another one!
UPDATE- December 2012, these bangle holders are still going strong. We now have a total of four and I cannot tell you how useful they are. I use them for bangles, bracelets, even hair ties and hair bands! The pieces are sturdy- there have been no issues with them being unbalanced or tipping over. The gold color is stunning. Absolutely a quality piece that I would recommend to anyone who has more than four or five bracelets, and even then, you'll probably find a great use for them.
